Midstream Manager

The manager is responsible for project management and operation of PGE’s gathering systems, and also oversees the design of facilities and compressor stations in coordination with VP Engineering and the Compression Engineer. Recommends project objectives and manages multiple and simultaneous projects, project scope development, cost estimation, scheduling and cost tracking. This position interacts with various corporate departments including Finance, Operations and Development, as well as other departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned by Management.

• Responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines/requirements, creating a culture of safety; and staff training.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
• Interprets project plans and requirements and prepares resource requirements. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for tracking and analysis, and providing progress reports to support internal communications of project milestone accomplishment.
• Manages integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews deliverables, also manages contract administration, invoicing, and completion of outstanding items per punch lists.
• Achieve goals within available resources; plan, organize and supervise workloads and staff assignments; train, motivate, and evaluate assigned staff; review progress and direct changes as needed.
• Provides technical and analytical guidance to project teams, recommends and takes action to direct solutions of problems.
• Responsible for approving qualification and selection of contractors involved in assigned projects/ and works with Pipelines/Facilities, HSE, Construction and Operations. Works with VP on management of MSA status and staff certifications.
• Assist Management with identifying project opportunities, identify potential barriers, and recommend alternatives that coincide with development activities.
• Work with Engineering on the route selection, design, estimating, and managing of maintenance projects and the construction of new facilities, as required.
• Represents the company with government agencies, property owners and outside contractors.
• Completes special projects as assigned by Management.
• Assists with hiring and retention of personnel.
• Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or 10+ years of applicable and related industry experience
• Professional Engineering License desirable.
• Understanding of facilities and pipeline requirements.
• Must be able to spend extended periods of time at field locations supervising projects.
• Must be able to assist in emergency response efforts and work extended hours as needed, able to carry a cell phone and be available for after hour calls.
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal abilities for working in a team environment.
• Ability to make and implement sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems
• Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
• Exceptional ability at successful project management.
• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office, Managerplus
