Land Administrator

Summary:    The Land Administrator is responsible for title and lease record maintenance, land-related accounting functions, reporting, and other land-related administrative functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (other duties may be assigned as needed to support company objectives).

  1. Perform preliminary review and analysis of title information and documents, runsheet/chain of title, and title opinions, with basic training.
  2. Prepare title review sheets upon receipt of title opinions and title reports.
  3. Enter and maintain abstracts and title opinions, as well as ownership information and documents, in BOLO.
  4. Enter and manipulate data in spreadsheets, maintain databases for reporting and analysis, scan documents and edit electronically, send formal correspondence to stakeholders, file documents with government agencies.
  5. Review and understand lease documents, amendments, assignments, and various other leasing documents.
  6. Enter and maintain lease records, rights of way, easements, and other land-related documents in BOLO.
  7. Scan documents as received, upload into document management system, and enter lease data into appropriate database system(s) with close attention to how documents affect leasehold within the project.
  8. Maintain title records, lease records, documents, and forms through data entry, manual filing and other applications. Keep all files organized and updated.
  9. Process lease packages and necessary reports.
  10. Answer phone and email inquiries from lease owners.
  11. Manage influx of multiple daily requests with close attention to time sensitive information, task deadlines with ability to schedule overlapping activities to meet deadlines.

  1. 5 years prior experience in land management, preferably in oil and gas
  2. Intermediate level MS Office skills (Excel, Access, Word)
  3. Prior experience using BOLO software a positive
  4. Demonstrated communication (verbal/written) skills
  5. Excellent attention to detail
  6. Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
