Operations Engineer

Assist the VP of Operations in field operations engineering and production activities, maximizing production by analyzing costs and preparing production estimates.  Monitors and evaluates well production to maximize production rates, and minimize downtime; and develop production enhancement projects.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  1. Identifying and evaluating opportunities for production enhancement or change out of equipment using different methods including but not limited to the following:
  1. Artificial Lift & Tubing Analysis
  2. Production Facility Improvements
  3. Compression Optimization
  4. Pipeline Optimization
  5. Generate detailed economic analysis in support of recommended capital projects, with supporting details.
  6. Provide quality assurance of DSS production and well data, in conjunction with IT Department. 
  7. QC gas measurement and metering.
  8. QC and Audit internal production record keeping and royalty payments.
  9. Develop a strong working relationship with field operations personnel.
  10. Assist with optimizing operational gas compression and processing equipment, revision of operating parameters to reflect changing operating conditions and preparation and implementation of preventative maintenance protocols to improve long term equipment reliability.
  11. Develop specifications for maintenance of equipment and through the MOC process recommend changes as operating conditions change  

Provide oversight and technical support to the operations I&E staff in troubleshooting the RTU and other electronics

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, geology. 
  2. 5 to 10 years of experience, and prior field experience including oversight of operations field personnel.
